Composed Studies E-book: Knight Endgames N+P vs 2P

The knight and a pawn also successfully take on isolated pawns. When the pawns are separated by fewer than three files, a sole knight can stop them. The game is decided, as in the case with connected pawns, by providing king support to the passed pawn. Occasionally chasing the black pawns may turn out very dramatic. A case in point is a study by L. Kubbel (1924).
