E-book: Knight Endgames N+2P vs N

An exceptional case where the weaker side draws by force against the two connected pawns supported by the king, occurred in the game Taimanov – Spassky, Leningrad, 1952. White draws thanks to the active king which ties down the enemy pieces by means of attacks from the rear. The point of White’s defence consists in deflecting the black king from the pawn in order to transpose into an elementary drawn ending by sacrificing the knight for the two pawns.
