E-book: Knight Endgames N+P vs N+P

In these endings king and knight activity and/or the speed of pawns is of paramount importance. If a sufficient counterplay cannot be created by advancing the passed pawn, the weaker side can save the game only by activating the knight at the right moment. This theme is nicely illustrated by the position from the game Barcza – Simagin, match Moscow – Budapest, 1948.
