E-book: Knight Endgames N+2P vs N+P

If the advance of both passed pawns of the superior side is being supported by the king, the position is generally won. However, one of the two additional conditions must be met: pawns must be quick or otherwise the knight will be able to successfully perform two tasks i.e. support the advance of own whilst at the same time blocking the enemy pawn. A characteristic case with fast pawns is illustrated by the ending of the game Uhlmann – Reshevsky, Skopje, 1976.
