E-book: Knight Endgames N+2P vs N+2P

 

In endings with connected passed pawns a win is possible provided two basic conditions have been fulfilled:
a) pawns are quicker and
b) they cannot be blocked.

A typical position of that kind of ending arose in the game Ribli – Timman, Novi Sad Olympiad, 1990.

 




GM Vlatko Kovacevic

Vlado Kovacevic is a chess grandmaster and an endgame expert. He very successfully competed on the national team. From 2000 – 2004, he acted as selector of the Croatian Men’s national team. He is also a well-known chess author.
