If in a similar position White’s passed pawn is on the sixth rank, then even “undermining” manoeuvre with the subsequent capture of one pawn will not save Black – of course, provided that the white king is not too far. In this study by L. Prokesh, 1946, Black is all set to launch the flank blow f6 undermining and capturing the h6-pawn.
