A more complex situation arises when the white pawns have not advanced far since then Black may have the possibility of a counter-attack. Yet, there are still prospects of winning. A case in point is a study by the famous N. Grigoriev, 1938. The solution consists in gaining the opposition – first the distant and later the full opposition.
